How can a bead change to a piece of jewellry?

Headpins!

So? Wire? Yes, sterling siver wire. With a flat, round or hammered end, or patterned finding.

And not just a wire... it depends on the size of the bead, the hole, the weight of the bead... 

or how I want it to look like. 

I mainly use my own headpins, made from wire, tumbled and polished.

Heavy goddesses 4-5 cm need a realy heavy headpin.

 They are often supported by a beadcap or a bead to protect the hole and the bead. And of course, as a decoration.

 

The same is with the long 7cm longbeads.. heavy pin more than 8cm and patterned to be hard. Oh really, I have not seen as big headpins as those for sale. Silk from Marsha, and a silverplated chain.

 

So, here are 20mm and 10 mm beads, my handmade lampwork.

And for those of you travelling to Hardanger in Norway this summer as tourist:

I made the Hardanger Bead  with lampwork technique, with sterling silver.

Small lampwork hearts

So what will happen? 

One or two pieces of jewellry? Or 20?

Well.. I dont even dare to translate these to any other language.... the problem is that I made soooo many because I used all my leftovers and twisties.... and they took over my kitchen.

Please do NOT feed the gnomes!

Hm. Det der er MITT kjøkken. Ikke mate gnomene nei.

Hive UT jula???? Fjerne den? Jammen det er gjort forlengst...

JEG leker da ikkemed maten..? ...jeg bare... passer på de der kreative fingrene mine.. som aldri slutter..

Dessuten har jeg montert gnomene på stift av skikkelig stål. Rustfritt, matsikker. Knallhard... Ikke en reaksjon etter ei uke i et skikkelig surt importert eple!

OG når det er sagt.. HVEM har spist opp maten sin?

Jupp, dere skal få bli med til Hardanger, og da håper jeg dere får et skikkelig HardangerEple å leke med!!

For det begynte med en utfordring.. lag en gnom etter Alice sin Flamesculping video... og så bestemte jeg meg for å bruke opp ALLE restepinnene mine av glass for å lage gnomer! Ærlig talt! har du noengang bestemt deg for å strikke opp alt restegarnet ditt???

DA skjønner du hvor gale det ble...

Som sagt.. jeg orker ikke fotografere den gjengen en og en.. men alle er til salgs.. og mange har allerede reist. Men sende en mail til trollsmed@trollsmed.com og spør og ønske deg.. og henvis til den og den som leker med den og den maten..

My favourite collected beads..

For years and years I have been shopping and collecting.. YOU`re right.. BEADS!

I found that I would make bracelets from a few of them.. a mix of evrything.

I call them GAIA-bracelets.

I have seen people now wear the Morten harket style.. lots of leather and bracelets around the wrist.

I love beads, when I go for holiday, I shop beads, necklaces, just to take them apart when I`m back home.

WOW.....

I have also been to Denmark to learn how to make recycled glass beads. NOW I buy them from Africa instead, I love to support giving them a job. Instead I use my torch to lampwork bottles... It makes wonderful beads!

Springtime I make bigger beads.. from hazel.. LOL:  Birds love them in winter, they are filled with food, and birds can hide when we pass by.

JI love rustic beads. Rough clay, porcelain clay beads with a surface.

And I go mad at holiday when I find a shop like this...
